RECOLOGY: Better At The Bin

There was a disturbance in the force of recycling. China abruptly stopping taking the world’s recyclable waste materials. Recology’s solution is one to be applauded – let’s teach SF how to reduce the waste we create. Introducing “Better At The Bin'. I created an instructional marketing campaign to encourage and instruct residents to use their three garbage bins to their full land fill waste reducing capabilities. We enlisted Zero Waste practitioner and Recology customer, Kathryn Kellogg to lead the call to action. I wrote and directed the program launch video featuring Kathryn demonstrating a few simple actions to rally Recology customers to step-up their recycling efforts. The program also included a website, digital campaign elements.

Just say NO to plastic

Once a scientific marvel, now a menace to life. A core message in Recology’s Better At The Bin campaign is to adopt simple practices to eliminate our dependance on plastic. Get a reusable water bottle and coffee mug, carry a canvas shopping bag, and look for food items packaged in glass containers. Simple ways to say NO to big plastic. Ok, the burning question is did Keith sign off on the ad? I bet he would if I got a chance to ask. The concept was the attention getter that lead to a long relationship with Recology. So, thanks Keith.
