CADE MARTIN: Over War

Photographer Cade Martin embarked on a mission to capture the essence of the Vietnam War through portraits of former pilots. These individuals, who once witnessed the conflict unfold from high above, have long kept their experiences and perspectives to themselves. In collaboration with Cade's producer, Kate Chase, I conducted interviews with some of these pilots, unveiling an untold wealth of stories waiting to be shared. The resultant theme, aptly named 'Over War,' explores the question of whether these veterans have truly moved on from their war experiences. This poignant portrait series serves as a final opportunity for these brave men to narrate their personal journeys and leave a lasting testament to their lives.
