MEDIUM -- Executive Creative Director

Brought in to create a ‘digital’ branded entertainment division for two well established Hollywood entertainment companies: Triage Entertainment (TV show development and production company) and Levity Entertainment (a stand-up comedy management and booking company). The result was ‘Medium’ a separate division built on the belief that when content is relevant and entertaining to an audience they will save it, share it or even modify it. To do this Medium utilizes the assets of both Triage and Levity to create and produce high quality digital entertainment content for consumer brands that have targeted activation plans designed for the media habits of the intended audience. Overall responsibilities include current and new business development, creative team development and management, strategic vision and creative implementation across divisions.

Jan 2006 to 2008

CONDUCTOR -- Executive Creative Director

Responsible for driving all creative strategy and direction for broad range of consumer accounts and management of creative team and budgets. Created, developed and produced  multi-platform digital programs for leading consumer brands. Led Hollywood creative teams (TV/Film writers and producers) and internal creatives to develop breakthrough integrated brand marketing campaigns: programming content across all media: TV programming, online/interactive, PR, Promotions, podcasts, mobile and consumer generated content.  I have a deep understanding of how Hollywood ‘system’ works and have strong relationships with major talent agencies /network executives. Involved in pitching new business, streamlining internal creative process, driving innovation --internally and externally-- and client management of creative strategy.

2000 to Dec 2005

BANJO STRATEGIC ENTERTAINMENT -- Founder, Creative Director/Executive Producer

Responsible for leading creative teams and developing creative strategies for consumer campaigns.

This hybrid advertising agency/ ‘branded content’ studio worked closely with media companies, agency creatives and Hollywood creative teams to create, develop and produce brand integrated entertainment for major brands.  Created and produced a one-hour Degree deodorant TV show to support their sponsorship of the Ironman World Championships on NBC.  Also created successful web series and promotion for Electronic Art’s ‘From Russia With Love’ video game.

1996 to 2001

BLAZING PARADIGM -- Founder, President, Creative Director

Co-founder of 35 person ad agency built on a media agnostic POV. Managed a diverse client base, from Communities.com (a “Second Life”, avatar based online community) to Transamerica Mutual Funds --creating both traditional and non-traditional advertising campaigns. Led comprehensive brand repositioning of The North Face to more of a lifestyle brand including creation of a TV series on NBC hosted by Sting. Managed Whole Foods Market account responsible for extending brand to be more accessible to a broader audience --developing an online and in-store video series featuring artisan food producers.  Also, responsible for management of all creative teams and processes, creative strategy and driving innovation with internal teams and external clients.

1994 to 1996

GOODBY SILVERSTEIN & PARTNERS -- Art Director

Created and developed award winning work for Foster Farms Chicken and Sega video games.  Participated in critical account wins: Pac Bell, Alaska Airline, Budweiser, and Starbucks. Supported The Mill Valley Film Festival in 1995 with Film Festival’s promotional trailer.

1989 to 1994

HAL RINEY & PARTNERS -- Art Director

Key creative for 5 years on Saturn Car account-- Riney’s biggest account at the time.  As Creative Director on 50+ TV spots, I was responsible for building a very unique brand strategy and extending the brand with a laser-focus on the consumer. The campaign was awarded a Clio, Obie, Effie, several One Show Gold Pencils and recognized by Communication Arts Magazine.
